In our school-based program, we provide low barrier, easily accessible and integrated treatment. Day One is currently located in several middle and high schools, the goal being to help students overcome and manage behavioral, emotional, and social problems that have been impacting home or school. Current clinicians are trained in offering both mental health and substance abuse therapy, for those struggling or affected others. Providing treatment within the schools offers an increased level of communication between educators, youth, and their families. School-based work also allows flexibility in scheduling with youth while collaborating with other providers, resources and possible referrals.
