Joanne Grant, LADC, LCPC, CCS has been named Director of Residential Services at our three residential locations. Joanne has been with Day One since August of 1998, with the exception of a brief period away in 2012 -13, returning to Day One in 2014.
Our newest residential facility in Hinckley was opened under Joanne’s leadership in 2014 as well. Under her expanded role as Director of Residential Services for all of Day One’s residential locations, we are thrilled to announce the expansion of our residential treatment services to include 19 and 20 year olds. Our three residential locations in Buxton, Hollis and Hinckley, Maine will now serve youth, ages 13 – 20, with serious substance use concerns. Boys and girls receive services at separate locations so that treatment can be tailored to each gender.
Kristen Cianelli, LADC, LCSW, CCS has taken on an expanded role. In addition to serving as Program Manager for Day One’s Residence at Hollis, she will now serve as a Program Manager for that location in addition to the Residence at Buxton for girls.
Christine Grant, LCSW, LADC, CCS has been promoted to Director of Corrections Services and Clinical Training at Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland, where Day One provides services to committed youth in collaboration with the Department of Corrections. Christine joined Day One as Program Manager at Long Creek in 2013. In her new role, she will not only oversee all aspects of Day One’s treatment programs at Long Creek Youth Development Center and Mountain View Correctional Center in Charleston, Maine, but she will also oversee clinical training for the entire agency, including Outpatient, Residential and Corrections Services. Day One utilizes a number of evidence-based models, which are methods of treatment which demonstrate proven outcomes.
Sharon Martel, BS Accounting, has been promoted to Accounting Manager. Sharon was hired in 2016 to operate the day-to-day accounting function within the Agency. She has demonstrated her ability to work effectively with a diverse system along with various competing priorities and recently implemented a new accounting software system.
Congratulations to all and much gratitude for all you do for Day One!
